International Table Tennis Federation Foundation

PSD collaborated with the ITTF Foundation to develop a comprehensive resource aimed at promoting diversity and inclusivity within and through table tennis on the occasion of World Table Tennis Day (WTTD). Phase 1 of the handbook is a user-friendly guide offering organizations and individuals insights to foster diversity and inclusion within their table tennis programs, encouraging a more inclusive community.

Phase 2, featuring stories and experiences from WTTD 2024 celebrations worldwide, will be released in December 2024.

Mahila Jan Adhikar Samiti

PSD was commissioned by Mahila Jan Adhikar Samiti (MJAS) to develop a handbook on safe sport experiences for participants and coaches of their Football for Freedom, Unity, and Solidarity for Girls program in Rajasthan.

ITTF Foundation

PSD partnered with the ITTF Foundation to develop a ‘Table Tennis for Development’ (TT4D) Handbook, as part of the ITTF Foundation’s ongoing collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The handbook is for coaches and young people demonstrating exercises, sessions and case studies using table tennis for contextualized social development outcomes such as health, education, gender equality and life skills training.

FARE Network

PSD partnered with FARE Network to create ‘Maidaan se Manzil’, a handbook that shared stories from rural areas in states of Jharkhand, Bihar & Rajasthan in India. The case studies showcased the challenges female football players encountered, how they overcame them and gender barriers, their journey as players, and their vision for improving grassroots football in India for girls' participation and success. These female football players were part of the development programs of partners such as the Association of Social & Human Awareness (ASHA) in Jharkhand, Mahila Jan Adhikar Samiti (MJAS) in Rajasthan and Gaurav Gramin Mahila Vikas Manch (GGMVM) in Bihar.

Sport Against Gender Inequality

PSD produced an online resource "Sport Against Gender Inequality (SAGI)" in collaboration with the Martha Farrell Foundation (MFF) and the Commonwealth Secretariat. The SAGI online resource was designed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, to ensure availability of online sport for development resources to practitioners. SAGI aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Agenda, addressing SDG 5: Gender Equality. The resource builds the capacity, resilience and confidence of adolescents, girls and boys, to recognize, resist and take action on gender-based violence in their own families, communities and local institutions.

PSD's Physical Activity And Multi-Sport Curriculum

PSD’s multi-sport curriculum has been designed to deliver a comprehensive movement skill and multi-sports program for children between the ages of 5-16 years, allowing them to master basic physical literacy and experience multi-sports through a series of progressive games that will teach them the basics of athletic development and well-being. The curriculum also ensures that participants learn various soft skills and sporting values through the different activities designed.

Kadam Badhate Chalo

PSD redesigned the curriculum for the KBC programme in collaboration with the Martha Farrell Foundation (MFF) and PRIA. PSD led the design for the sports-based methodologies in the curriculum, which were used in sections such as self-awareness, understanding peer pressure, self-esteem, leadership, teamwork, and gender stereotypes, among others.

Sportism

PSD provided curriculum development support to Sportism, a private sport development organization, to help them initiate and set up a young children's multi-sport program in residential colonies in Chennai. PSD assisted them in developing age and skill appropriate multi-sports curriculum for young children between the ages of 5-12 years.

Greenshoots Sports

PSD provided curriculum development and training support to Greenshoots Sports to help them initiate and set up a young children's health and fitness program in New Delhi and NCR. PSD's work included:

  • Undertaking market research to gauge the interest of and demand from different stakeholders relating to young children's sports programs.
  • Developing an age and skill appropriate sports and fitness curriculum for young children between the ages of 5 and 12 years.
  • Training of coaches and trainers employed by Greenshoots to implement the curriculum.
