PSD builds the capabilities of youth who were former participants in its programs through the Community Youth Leader program. This initiative provides former participants with regular capacity-building sessions in sports facilitation, leadership, and gender awareness, mentorship from senior coaches, and practical experience by supporting the delivery of programs and events in their own schools and communities. The Community Youth Leader program originated from the Youth Scholarships program, which has been running since June 2021 in collaboration with KickOff Solutions. This targeted scholarship initiative is designed to develop young girls' leadership skills and support their continued involvement in sports. It provides two years of mentoring and scholarships to girls from PSD’s ongoing programs in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
