Young people, especially girls, from marginalized and underserved communities in India face significant socio-economic challenges due to inadequacies in their education and a lack of opportunities to develop critical life skills. They lack access to basic services and opportunities for adequate growth and development. Due to these deficiencies, they face greater hurdles in dealing effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life, hence decreasing their chances of enrolling in higher education and/or gaining meaningful employment in the future.

In order to tackle these issues, PSD builds an ecosystem that utilizes the participatory tools of sport, physical activity and play to engage young people from marginalized and underserved communities in purposefully-designed and evidence-based interventions to enable their holistic development.
