To aid in the holistic development of children and youth from marginalized backgrounds through a specially-designed sport-based curriculum aimed at teaching soft skills, promoting values education, and changing gender perceptions.
Duration: September 2015 – Ongoing
Since 2015, the Community Sports Program (CSP) has been working with young people aged 5-16 years from marginalized slum communities in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, to empower them as confident, competent, and gender-sensitive leaders. The CSP employs a purposefully designed, gender sensitive and evidence-based curriculum focused on sport, physical activity, and play to enhance young people’s health and well-being, foster essential life skills and values, and build capacities on gender, adolescent health and hygiene, and child rights. Over the years, CSP has been implemented in collaboration with various institutional and individual donors.
