Improve the ability of young people to use digital literacy skills for meaningful actions in life situations, including practical knowledge of accessing basic public services online, dealing with cyberbullying as well as understanding issues of privacy and consent.
Duration:January 2020 - January 2021
The project sought to build on the vision of India's National Digital Literacy Mission to "empower at least one person per household with critical digital literacy skills by 2020". PSD has partnered with PRIA (Participatory Research in Asia) to work with young people between the ages of 15-18 years to build their digital literacy skills for meaningful actions in life situations, using the mediums of smartphones and Kho-Kho.
In the initial phase of the project, supported by the Laureus Innovation Fund, PSD assisted PRIA in the curriculum development and testing for the project as well as in-house training of facilitators.
